God’s Treasure
The Lord would give me this revelation
while praying for a girl at International House of Pancakes. She was a waitress
and started telling us all her hardships in life. In prayer, the Lord would
have me tell her that she was God’s beautiful jewel and I started telling her
the parable Jesus gave us about the man and a field. Here is the scripture
context. Matthew
13:44-“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a
man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field”. With the compassion of the Lord in my heart and tears
flowing from my eyes, the Lord would start giving me words to say to her from
this scripture. I told her that she was the treasure in the field, God’s jewel.
The Lord would have me say that she is precious and beautiful to him and that the Lord had
sold everything he had to buy her back. God used HIs best by sending His own
son to die for her. He died in her place; to pay for our sin. He bought the
precious treasure that was in the field, which was her. The girl was so
overwhelmed that she ran off in tears of conviction, but I knew the Lord had
started healing her broken heart. I was honored to be there at the right time
for this precious girl. The things she told us what she was going through was heart
gripping and I could feel the weight of it. She was weighed down by the cares
of this life. The Lord would send me at the right time to encourage her through
this hard time. The Lord is good! I only use this when the Holy Spirit leads me
to do share it, but its powerful when He does. We are His treasure. The Lord
paid the price; the ultimate price to buy us back. Praise the Lord that He did.
