Bold Acts

Bold Acts

I’ll never forget what the Lord said to me a few years ago.  He said “The antidote for the fear of man is for you to pray for boldness." Immediately, I went to Acts 4:29-31 (Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness). The disciples were facing all kinds of fear and intimidation, even death. They knew the key was to pray for boldness to continue the Lord’s work.
After coming back to the Lord on March 9th, 2014, I had been following my friend Joel Crumpton on Facebook. I saw all of the testimonies of healings that were happening and it sparked my curiosity, so I contacted him and planned a trip to Atlanta, Georgia. Joel had received some revelation from the Lord on declaring. I absolutely loved it and I use it, but I will never forget one of the things he shared with me on boldness, which he put in his book (You can do the works of Jesus from Theory to Reality). Joel said “Boldness is faith acted out. It is courage in the midst of fear; it is daring to speak and act even though you feel intimidated. Boldness is a necessary ingredient of faith. Fear and intimidation will always be present when an opportunity to minister healing to someone in public comes up. Don’t allow those feelings to cause you to shrink back in unbelief. Deny yourself, and do what Jesus would do.”
I got to put what I learned into action by hitting the streets with a treasure hunt and later an outreach to the homeless. I had no idea what I was about to witness. My life was going to be changed forever. Miracles took place and people’s lives were changed by the power of God.
Here’s one of the miracles that I witnessed. This happened right after we fed the homeless. Joel walked up to this girl. She was in a walking boot and had crutches. She was with a team visiting from Cincinnati, Ohio. Joel asked her what happened to her and she said she broke her foot. She told him that she was in a lot of pain and couldn't put any weight on it. Joel told her that he had good news for her and that the Kingdom of Heaven had come near to her today. He said that if she would give him her hand that the power of God would flow through her and heal her right now. She did and Joel spoke in the Name of Jesus Christ be Healed. He told her to check herself and see if she could put any weight on her foot. Her countenance totally changed! All the pain had left and she was totally speechless! She started putting weight on her foot and walked with no pain. The precious girl was totally healed! All her friends from Cincinnati were amazed and they joked about having to buy her new sneakers because she had only brought one shoe. We all gave glory to Jesus! Our Lord is amazing!

I went back home from that trip totally fired up to believe the Lord for miracles and I had no idea that the Lord was going to work so quickly, but something had changed in my life. The Lord had given me boldness and I was willing to step out in faith. I couldn’t wait to pray for people and this is what happened.
I was given the opportunity to serve on the prayer team at the Salvation Army for a local outreach. We were paired up in teams of two praying for people and I was paired up with a local Pastor. We had a chance to pray for the man in the picture to the right. He told me he had eight surgeries in his hip and he was in a lot of pain. I told him that I had good news for him and that the Kingdom of Heaven had come near him, today. I said if he would give me his hand the Lord was going to heal him. I said in Jesus name be healed. We confessed some healing scriptures over the man. He couldn't believe it and he had significantly less pain. We prayed again and thanked the Lord for his healing. I took his crutches and had him take a step of faith. The man was shocked the pain had totally left his body and he was able to walk around without crutches. We talked to him about giving his life to the Lord 100% and he rededicated his life to Him. The Lord gets all of the Glory!

Seeing that miracle changed my life forever! Believe me friends the enemy was coming at me with all kinds of fear and intimidation. All kinds of thoughts and questions entered my mind. I heard you're going to look like a fool. What if he’s not healed or what if nothing happens? I decided to go for it and be willing to look like a fool for Jesus. I dared to believe His word and look what happened. The Lord came, healed this precious person’s body and a soul was saved. You can do it too my friend. You have the same Holy Spirit living in you that Jesus had. Pray for boldness daily and step out in faith and watch fear bow to the name of Jesus! I believe the Lord will be with you every step of the way. Get ready for miracles to happen!

Nuevo Laredo, Mexico Trip April 26-30, 2018

Missions Project Goal $1000

Nuevo Laredo, Mexico April 26-30, 2018

I’m so excited about this trip! The team will be helping Pastor Ray Rendon Jr. with a spring outreach to the precious children of the Colonia in Nuevo Laredo, MX. The weather is usually very nice, so we get to spend more time with the children and play games. There will be worship and a gospel presentation, as well. I believe many lives will be touched by the presence of the Lord. Then the children will be given their gifts and we generally sit down and have an awesome meal together. The team will be doing an outreach to the immigrants, as well. These precious people are usually from many different countries and are being sent home. The team has an amazing opportunity to come feed them, bless them with sanitary items and share the gospel. I’m praying that some folks that are gifted in building will be on this team, as well to connect them with the Pastors.
List of things we need prior to April 26, 2018
Finances for traveling expenses and hotel expenses
Children’s Day Items: Toys, Candy and kids bibles in Spanish
Some folks are donating clothes and any old suitcases that you could donate would be amazing.  We will put the clothes in the suitcases. Pastor Ray says it would be easier to get the clothes across the border in the suitcases.
Items for the immigrants: hand sanitizer, Q tips, little deodorants, shampoos and napkins, tooth brushes, tooth paste, wipes, ladies tampons, zip lock bags or individual bags.
Wal-Mart Gifts cards to purchase toys and items for the children’s day and for the outreach to the immigrant’s.  We have limited space in our vehicle, so the gift cards are always a tremendous blessing because we can purchase whatever we need at the Laredo Wal-Mart before we cross into Mexico.
Please pray for the Lord to bring in the finances and the items listed above for these precious people.
