Rudy Water's Testimony

Betrayed!

My girlfriend was living with another man . . . in my home!

I suspected that she was cheating on me. She was staying out all night partying with her “friends from work” then coming home either drunk or hung over. Then there was this guy at work she was always talking about. I confronted her and demanded to know if she was having an affair. She lied to me and denied it. I was furious. In a jealous rage I stormed out of the home, slamming the door behind me. I left and moved to my parent’s home nearby.

My world was shattered. How could she do this to me? We had been living together for five years. I loved this girl. I had offered to marry her. Didn’t that mean anything to her? What about all the good times we had shared?

To be honest, I hadn’t been the best guy to hang around. I was a regular drinker. I hadn’t always been considerate of her. Maybe we could talk this out I reasoned. A week later I found out that the guy from work had moved in with her. I was outraged! I called her on the phone. She still denied having an affair. She insisted that this man she was now living with was “just a friend”. Yeah, right. She said that she “didn’t want me out of the picture yet.” What did that mean? I could feel my rage boiling over. I threatened to kill her and her new lover. I slammed down the receiver.

One of my buddies at work tried to console me. “Forget about her. You’ll find another one.” He took me out to bars, but it didn’t help. I really couldn’t talk to any women. I was angry with all women because of what my girlfriend had done to me. I became depressed. I tried to fill the void in my life with pornography. My thoughts became darker. I contemplated suicide.

One day I was sitting in front of the television set channel surfing and I stopped and heard  a pastor preaching a sermon on forgiveness. His sermon was about forgiving others so God could forgive us. He said that God cannot forgive us unless we forgive others. He read a scripture from the book of Mark: “If you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you your trespasses.” I realized that I was a sinner and that I needed forgiveness of my sins. I also realized that I needed to forgive my ex-girlfriend for what she did to me. The pastor prayed a prayer of salvation and I accepted Jesus into my heart. When I got up from my knees praying I felt the load of sin and depression lifted from me. The Lord had given me peace. A peace that I had never had before.  I felt God’s unconditional love. God had sacrificed Jesus, His only Son, for me. Jesus willingly died on the cross and took the punishment I had deserved so that I could have abundant life, and when I die He has a place for me in Heaven. Even when I didn’t know God, he still loved me. If I had been the only person on earth, God still would have sent Jesus to die for me. And that would be the same for you. He did it for all of us.

Do you need peace? Maybe you aren’t struggling with loneliness, anger or depression, like I was. Whatever it is that you are fighting against, Jesus is the answer. He can help you overcome anything. Are you sick? Jesus is the healer. Are you addicted to pornography, drugs or alcohol? Jesus will set you free.

God loves you and has a great plan for your life. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 , “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future. Jesus said in John 10:10 , “ . . . I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.

How can you receive the abundant life Jesus has for you? In John 3:3 Jesus said to Nicodemus, a religious leader, “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom,” In Romans 10:9,10  the bible says “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins and rose again you can be assured that you will go to heaven.
Pray this prayer:

Dear God, I know that I have sinned and that I need help. I believe in my heart that Jesus is your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins and that You raised Him from the dead. Jesus, I ask for your forgiveness of my sins, wash me clean with your blood. Jesus, I open my heart and invite you to come in. Make yourself real to me. I confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Please help me to walk with You and learn Your ways. I give you total control of my life. Amen.

Where do you go from here?

Pray every day. Read your Bible beginning with the New Testament. Attend a good Bible believing Church that operates in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and teaches the full gospel of Jesus Christ. Receive full-emersion baptism. Fellowship regularly with other believers in Jesus Christ.

Pensacola, FL
The Panera Bread ministry has already started with a bang this year. Here’s a couple testimonies from the outreach from the old Truman Arms apartment complex. Our team was Julie, Paige and me. We had the privilege of leading Donnerick to the Lord and then he received the Holy Ghost. The presence of the Lord was amazing! The Lord later led us to Syrita. She was dealing with a lot of stress and fear from night terrors. Julie and Paige prayed for her. The presence of the Lord ministered to her and all the stress and fear left her. Praise the Lord! Both these guys are now attending church!

Nuevo Laredo, Mexico April 26-30, 2018
I’m so excited about this trip! The team will be helping Pastor Ray Rendon Jr. with a spring outreach to the precious children of the Colonia in Nuevo Laredo, MX. The weather is usually very nice, so we get to spend more time with the children and play games. There will be worship and a gospel presentation, as well. I believe many lives will be touched by the presence of the Lord. Then the children will be given their gifts and we generally sit down and have an awesome meal together. The team will be doing an outreach to the immigrants, as well. These precious people are usually from many different countries and are being sent home. The team has an amazing opportunity to come feed them, bless them with sanitary items and share the gospel. I’m praying that some folks that are gifted in building will be on this team, as well to connect them with the Pastors.
List of things we need prior to April 26, 2018
Finances for traveling expenses and hotel expenses
Children’s Day Items: Toys, Candy and kids bibles in Spanish
Some folks are donating clothes and any old suitcases that you could donate would be amazing.  We will put the clothes in the suitcases. Pastor Ray says it would be easier to get the clothes across the border in the suitcases.
Items for the immigrants: hand sanitizer, Q tips, little deodorants, shampoos and napkins, tooth brushes, tooth paste, wipes, ladies tampons, zip lock bags or individual bags.
Wal-Mart Gifts cards to purchase toys and items for the children’s day and for the outreach to the immigrant’s.  We have limited space in our vehicle, so the gift cards are always a tremendous blessing because we can purchase whatever we need at the Laredo Wal-Mart before we cross into Mexico. Please pray for the Lord to bring in the finances and the items listed above for these precious people.
Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia
Lately, the Lord has been tugging on me to spend some more time with my son in discipleship, so I plan on taking him on some of the intercity trips. We will be in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Feb. 2nd-4th for a minister’s conference. The conference is for leaders and ministers to come and be refreshed and renewed. We then get to be with Pastor Javine and the folks at Tuscaloosa International Prayer Center on Sunday. The church has been growing and I can’t wait to see all of our brothers and sisters.
On the Saturday of Feb. 24th, John and I will be visiting with Bro. Joel Crumpton. Joel has been a tremendous mentor in my life and every time I see him he stirs me up to pray for the sick and win souls. I can’t wait to see what the Lord is going to do!
Chiapas, Mexico in May
In May, We will be going to Chiapas, Mexico. Chiapas is one of the areas that were affected by the earthquakes last year and Bro. Richard, Pastor Ray, Pastor Juan and I will be going to encourage the people and preach revival services. I’m totally excited because the Lord is sending us into new territory. We have other invites, as well in Mexico and we will go as the Lord leads.
Thank You
…for praying and for your generous financial support. You are truly amazing and we know if it weren’t for you there’s no way we could do these things the Lord has called us to do. Your generosity is overwhelming!

Boldness to Act Part 1

Boldness to Act Part 1

1 Cor. 16:9 For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

When I got back from my last trip to Mexico, I had Dr. Jim Harris come up to me and ask me to explain how the trip went in three words. It got me to think a little bit. I thought pushing through was the first two words because there were so many obstacles to overcome. I had to believe the Lord for a lot more finances than the last trips I had been on in Mexico and to top it off; I came down with a virus before I was to leave. I was so congested and weak. To be honest, I didn’t know if I was going to make it. Thanks to all of my friends and family praying for me; I gained strength from the Lord and pushed through. Tami, John and I loaded the toys in the truck and I was off to Mexico. Praise the Lord I had the strength to push through, drive the truck all the way to Mexico, unload the toys and help prepare the food bags and toy bags for the outreach.
The third word that hit my mind was rewarding. We had several folks give their lives to Jesus at the outreach and that’s what it’s all about. Souls coming to Jesus! Folk’s receiving Jesus was so rewarding! Suddenly all the things I had to push through to get to this point was in a distant memory and I was overcome with tears of joy! Jesus is faithful! Toys were then given to the children and the families were given the food bags. It was an amazing day of answered prayer!
While talking to my friend Dr. Jim 1 Corinthians 16:9 came to my mind which says “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” I immediately started thinking about this scripture and what had happened to me. The Lord had a great and effective door for me. On the other side of the door was blessing and souls to be won into the kingdom. The enemy didn’t want me to go through that door because ultimately the Kingdom of Heaven would be populated, so he brought against me many adversaries to try to stop me. Praise the Lord!  I was able to push through on the prayers of the saints and by the grace of the Lord and the Kingdom of Heaven was populated!
You see the enemy uses fear, sickness etc. to slow us down or stop us from going through the door that God has called us to. I believe the main one is fear and intimidation and this is something I have always struggled with. I remember in school when I had a project to speak in front of a crowd of students I would be overwhelmed with fear and intimidation. Later in my life,  I  gave my life to Jesus and the Lord would speak to me to do something, but immediately that fear would come and thoughts would enter my mind telling me that it wouldn’t work.  All those what if questions would come to my mind to try to stop me. It used to work most of the time until something amazing happened in my life!

The Lord continues to remind me of this mission’s trip that I went on about 15 years ago in Cameroon, Africa. The mission was to have 10 teams to surround the city of Kumba to preach the gospel. I was going just serve and be part of a team. I had no idea what was about to happen.  I will never forget it and when my mentor Bro. Bert Farias put me in as a leader of one of the teams immediately the fear of the enemy had gripped my heart to try and stop me. Bro. Bert said something to me that I will never forget. He said I know you can preach because I heard you pray. I was completely changed and had the courage and boldness to preach, but I still had to push through. Later, on the trip I was about to share at a Bible School and the enemy was having a hay day with my mind. What was I going to say? I asked the Lord? The enemy was whispering in my ears that I was going to make a fool of myself. Suddenly an African brother came up to me named Joseph and said brother Rudy I see in the spirit that the enemy has you in a snare. I immediately knew what he was talking about. I asked him to pray and break it off of me and he did. Immediately Prov. 29:25 came into my mind (The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe) and I knew I was to share this scripture with the class. The Lord wanted the students to be free of the fear of man, as well. He wanted to use me to share and pray for these precious students to be free. I will never forget it! The students were all in fear of the unknown. Most of them would be sent out on mission assignments and many of them were dealing with a lot of the same things I had been dealing with. I shared the scripture with them, preached a little bit and prayed to break off the fear of man in the kids’ lives. The Holy Spirit came and ministered to them in a powerful way! We were all changed by the wonderful presence of the Lord!

Christmas Trip to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
When I got back from this trip, I had Dr. Jim Harris come up to me and ask me to explain how the trip went in three words. It got me to think a little bit. I thought pushing through was the first two words because there were so many obstacles to overcome. I had to believe him for a lot more finances than the last trips I had been on in Mexico and to top it off; I came down with a virus before I was to leave. I was so congested and weak. To be honest, I didn’t know if I was going to make it. Thanks to all of my friends and family praying for me; I gained strength from the Lord and pushed through. Tami, John and I loaded the toys in the truck and I was off.
I drove to Bro. Richard Davis’s home in San Antonio, TX where I met two of our team members from Texas Lauren Beck and Alex Miguez. We left for Laredo the next morning to meet Pastor Ray and Bro. Terry Herring. A couple of things we were concerned about were getting the toys across and the forecast was calling for rain and cold weather. We had many people praying to have a green light at the border. The vehicle that I was in received a green light, but Pastor Ray’s vehicle was stopped. He was asked what was in the vehicle. He said toys and they waived him on through. Praise the Lord!
On Friday, the rain hit and we were very concerned about flooding. The outreach was in a rural area in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico with nothing but dirt roads and flooding would make it hard for us to get to the precious people. We immediately put out a call for prayer and we had folks praying from all over the world. The rain stopped miraculously! The answered prayer allowed for some of the precious folks from the Colonia to come help serve as we worked through the night making the food bags and toy bags for the outreach. The Lord had provided for all the 400 bags of food that Pastor Ray believed for. Our God is faithful!
Saturday was outreach day! The bags of food and toy bags were all prepared and loaded in all of the trucks. The rain had returned and it was very cold, but we were able to get to the people. They estimated that over 400 people had braved the cold and rain to come to the outreach.  I was so overwhelmed with tears to see them and if I could have gotten to every one of them I would have given them a hug, but we were packed into the building like a sardine can trying to keep warm. We had a worship time, a drama, testimony time, the folks were fed Pizza and brother Israel preached. We had several folks give their lives to Jesus that morning and that’s what it’s all about. Souls coming to Jesus! Folk’s receiving Jesus was so rewarding! Suddenly all the things we had to push through to get to this point was in a distant memory and we were all overcome with tears of joy! Jesus is faithful! Toys were then given to the children and the families were given the food bags. What an amazing day of answered prayer?

Upcoming Ministry Trips
I’m so excited that the 2018 schedule is already starting to fill up. We will be going to Chiapas, Mexico on March 22-27. Chiapas is one of the areas that were affected by the earthquakes last year and Bro. Richard, Pastor Ray, Pastor Juan and I will be going to encourage the people and preach revival services. Totally excited! We will be going back to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to help with an outreach to the children and connecting folks that are gifted in building on April 27-29. John and I will be in Tuscaloosa, AL for a leadership conference the beginning of February. We will continue to reach out in Pensacola and I believe there’s going to be a major push of evangelism and outreaches in the city of Pensacola. Our greatest days are ahead of us!
