Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas
We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas from the Waters Family! You are truly amazing! We love you and were praying that you have an amazing time with family and friends! I pray that the Lord will bring our lost family members home and may they see the light of the gospel in us as we visit them! I pray for open doors for everyone to love on and share the gospel in Jesus Name!

Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
Bro. Richard and I had an awesome time in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico with Pastor Ray Rendon Jr. of Salt and Light Ministries and the precious people of the Colonia. Our assignment was to encourage these precious people and to take some video to bring back for the upcoming toy drive for Christmas. We were able to share in the Sunday Morning service. It was pretty cold that morning, but the people came anyway. Their hunger for the Lord really touched my heart. The Lord really touched them that day and honored their hunger with His presence!

Friendship, TN and Tuscaloosa, AL
I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Friendship, TN.  with Pastor Javine from Tuscaloosa and Pastor Shajan from India to take part in a leadership conference lead by Apostle Frost. This was an international conference for leaders from several countries. We had no idea that we were all going to speak on missions that Saturday morning, but when we arrived all three of us was on the itinerary to share. It was an amazing morning! Many folks were touched by the Lord and the fellowship was amazing! The food was absolutely phenomenal! I was reunited with my new Kenyan friends, who adopted me and gave me a Kenyan name. They now call me Kamau-which means come out from this place, spreading all over and pulling people from the pit. Wow! How prophetic is that? A picture of Pastor Javine and my Kenyan friends are at the bottom right!

 Testimony in Tuscaloosa, AL
I saved this testimony for last because it’s so amazing! Pastor Javine and I pulled up into his driveway after church and Steven was there asking for work. Pastor Javine asked me to pray for him. I prayed for him and the Lord started filling my mouth with words to say to him. The next we knew, Steven was crying and we were leading him to Jesus! We prayed for him to be free from alcohol, as well. Thank You Jesus! I know there are Angels rejoicing right now! May You finish the work you started in my knew friend!
Update on the Christmas trip to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico Dec. 13-20
I am totally amazed at how faithful Jesus is! The rental truck and plane ticket to get back to Pensacola has been paid for. The only expenses left are for traveling, the truck to be full of toys,  maybe some hotel expenses, a rental car for a couple days in San Antonio as I prepare to fly home and an offering to bless the Pastors. The Lord has already provided so much already and I know He’s going to take us the rest of the way! All glory goes to Him!
Thank You
…for praying and for your generous financial support. You are truly amazing and we know if it weren’t for you there’s no way we could do these things the Lord has called us to do. Your generosity is overwhelming!

Because I Heard You Pray

Because I Heard You Pray

Kumba, Cameroon 2003
I had the privilege of going on this amazing trip to Cameroon in 2003 and I will never forget it as long as I live. I was a part of a missions team lead by Bro. Bert Farias. The vision was to surround the city of Kumba with ten teams of evangelists and preach at the same time. We would appoint home church leaders to take care of the new converts. It was amazing! We had many souls born again in the three weeks that I was there. I was so encouraged when one of the home church Pastor’s Peter wrote me a letter. Peter was a very humble man and he wrote me a letter about the new converts and how they were doing. I was amazed as I read about how these new converts were doing and how they were growing in their faith. Praise be to the name of Jesus!
Commissioned to Preach
I share this story wherever the Lord sends me because I believe it was the start of my calling to preach. My heart has always been to serve and I went on this trip to do just that. I wanted to serve in whatever capacity the Lord wanted me. I had no idea what was about to happen. As Bro. Bert was picking the teams out, one by one evangelist’s were being picked. I remember saying to myself that I would be happy to just serve one of the evangelists picked. I then heard my name, Rudy Waters! Inside I was totally full of fear! I had never preached in front of crowds like this before. I had always been content to be an intercessor and pray. Yes, I had done some street evangelism and some brief preaching at the local Salvation Army in Pensacola, but I had never preached in front of a large crowd and let alone another country. I was like what would I say? What would I preach? The enemy was trying to intimidate me! My team was being picked and I was the leader. It was my time for me to lead and I was overwhelmed with fear!
Because I heard you Pray
I have never forgotten this moment in my life. We had a major intercessory time before the teams were sent out to preach across the city of Kumba. I always love times of prayer and intercession because of my time praying with seasoned praying warriors. I had two women disciple me in prayer and one of them was Bro. Bert’s wife Sister C. She trained both my wife and me in prayer. I had no clue that all of those years of training by seasoned mentors were going to be used by the Lord for preaching. As soon as prayer was over, we were to be sent out. I was still being attacked by the enemy with intense fear.  Bro. Bert came up to me with one of the most encouraging words that I have ever received in my life. He said to me “that he knew I could preach because he heard me pray.” Suddenly the Holy Spirit came all over me! Immediately boldness came over me and the fear was gone. I had received the commission to preach and I knew that all of those years of praying had paid off! I had something inside me that the Holy Spirit could use to reach the people that were lost and broken. It was time to go reach them and He was going to fill my mouth with what He wanted me to say and He did! Acts 4:31 had become a reality! Every time I was about to preach, the Lord had given me something to share. Many souls were saved, healed and touched by the Lord in those three weeks and I will never forget it as long as I live!

Tuscaloosa, Alabama
I had a great time in Tuscaloosa with our friends from Tuscaloosa International Prayer Center. Our main assignment was to pray for the city of Tuscaloosa. The Lord directed us to do a prayer drive around the University of Alabama and it was amazing. On Friday night, we prayed for folks in front of the church and the Lord led us to David. I saw him walking with a cane and I he let me pray for him. He recommitted his life to the Lord and received the Holy Ghost! All of the Praise goes to Jesus!

Denison, Texas
Craig and I had an amazing time! We had the privilege to help Trinity Lighthouse Church with an outreach to the community of Denison, Texas. The church served free barbecue and had a bouncy seat for the children. Our assignment was to walk the streets, tell them about the free barbecue and pray for them.

Testimonies

Jonathon
Craig and I was praying for two teenage girls and their mom. Once we were done, Craig saw Jonathon walking and told him about the barbecue at the park. Later, once we got back to the park, we saw Jonathon. There was a lady from the church ministering to him. Craig started talking to him and called me over asking me about my friend Levi’s program Harvest House. I shared with him about the Holy Ghost and he wanted to receive. We prayed for him and Jonathon recommitted his life and the Holy Ghost came on him and on all of us. The presence of God was amazing! Our friend Shawn Woodard also had a word for our newest friend and took him to church on Sunday where my friend Levi Lutz was preaching.
My friend Craig felt like there was a person that we were supposed to reach over the weekend and that he had to come on the trip. He had to be back Monday morning to teach, so we had to blow into to Texas for the outreach and blow out. We believe that Jonathon was the one. We thought about the scripture in Luke 15 that talks about leaving the ninety nine and going after the one. We give God all of the glory for leading us to Jonathon! Jonathon is precious in the sight of the Lord! Please pray for our newest friend!
Enus
The gentleman in the picture to the right is Enus. I saw at the check in counter of the hotel and I knew immediately that I was supposed to pray for him. I went outside to the car for a moment and coming back Enus was outside and asked me a question. I was like confirmation a divine set up. I asked Enus if we could pray for him and asked Craig and Shawn if they would come and help me pray. Craig and I prayed for him and Enus started to weep and gave his heart to the Lord. Shawn had a word of knowledge that he needed healing and this gentleman had been electrocuted and showed us his back. We prayed for complete healing and we believe he’s healed in Jesus name!

Tuscaloosa, Alabama Trip Sept. 8-10
I always look forward to being with our friends at New Rehoboth International Family Church. We will be hitting the downtown streets of the University of Alabama and be with them on Sunday. Pastor Javine said that he was going to tape a couple spots to be aired on the radio, as well. Please keep us in prayer for folks to be saved, healed and baptized in the Holy Ghost!
Upcoming Christmas Trip to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
I am so excited that our annual Christmas trip to Nuevo Laredo is just a few months away. We are already making plans. This year I am stepping out in major faith and believing to drive a U-Haul trailer full of toys to the Mexico border. We plan on holding some toy drives, so we will be updating everyone soon about items that we would need for our Christmas trip.

Testimonies at Truman Arms in Pensacola, FL

Patricia
Once a month, the team meets at Freedom Church/PHOP to take Panera Bread to a complex off of W Street called Truman Arms. The Lord is doing amazing things there. As I was heading back to the car to get more bags of Panera Bread, I ran into Patricia in the picture to the right. I gave her a bag of Panera Bread and continued to my car. Later in the day, we ran into Patricia again on her front porch with her five children. The Lord was setting her up! The Lord gave me a word of knowledge that she needed healing. Richard, Ezekiel and I prayed for her and declared that she would live and not die! Patricia recommitted her life back to the Lord! Praise the Lord! I believe she will never be the same! Please pray for Patricia and her family!
Antoinette Hartley
This testimony is amazing! In March the team was distributing Panera Bread to Truman Arms. I was led by the Holy Spirit to knock on a couple doors. I knocked on the upstairs door and there was no answer. I went down stairs and knocked on Antoinette’s door. I heard a soft voice coming from the apartment. She told me that she was in an accident and it was hard for her to come to the door. I told her that I was from Freedom Church and that I had a bag of Panera Bread to give to her. She opened the door and she was in a walker. Kaye Newcombe saw her open the door and came to help me pray for her. We asked to pray for her healing. Antoinette told us that she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Her countenance shined as she showed us her teaching material and pictures of her children. She needed to be healed, so she could get back to these precious children. We prayed for Antoinette and I remember her walking around some without her walker. The Lord was healing her and we praised God and moved on to another apartment.
We were amazed
Just a few weeks ago, we were getting ready to leave Truman Arms after an awesome time and I heard this voice. You’re the man! You’re the man! I went up to this lady and it turned out that it was Antoinette. She was up and moving around. She told me that she was going to try and hunt me down. She wanted to tell me that the Lord was healing her and she was now back teaching her children. The team was able to pray for the Lord to finish the work that He had started in her. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! May the Lord continue to bless my precious friend Antoinette! Please pray for her to lead many more children to the Lord!
July 13-16, 2017 Picayune, Miss. and Rusk, Texas
I am so excited that my wife and son get to come on this ministry trip with me! We will be hitting the road on July 13th to go be with our precious friends at House of Refuge Church in Picayune. I always look forward to seeing them! I talk about this church all of the time. They are truly a New Testament Church. If you’re ever in the Picayune, Miss. area you need to stop in and worship with them. I know you’ll be changed by the presence of the Lord!
On July 14th, we then head to Texas to be with our awesome friend Evangelist Levi Lutz of Harvest House Ministries. We will be helping Harvest House with an outreach to the surrounding communities of Rusk, TX.  We’re believing for souls saved, healed, delivered and baptized in the Holy Ghost! Were totally excited!
List of things we need prior to July 13, 2017

Picayune, Mississippi

Kenny saved and filled with the Holy Ghost
As soon as I got back from the Mexico trip, I had a message from my evangelist friend Joel Crumpton that the Picayune evangelism weekend was moved up. I called Bro. Joel on the phone and he said that he believed that God moved the date because there were folks that hung in the balance of eternity. I knew right away that I had to rearrange everything to be there. The Lord was about to do some amazing things!
Bro. Joel taught us on Friday night on the power of proclamation and on Saturday we had a treasure hunt. The Lord had given me some clues, but my main ones was a snake tattoo or tattoo, Wal-Mart and the grocery department. We walked into Wal-Mart and decided to head to the grocery department. John Guidry immediately was drawn to a man with tattoos and said to me that we needed to pray for him. I went with him and John engaged the man. He asked him if we could pray for him. I talked to him some and one of the girls went to get Joel. Joel came and talked him about his salvation and he got down on knees and gave his life to the Lord right there in the beer isle in Wal-Mart. Joel also talked to him about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and he received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, as well.  It turned out that Kenny was about to buy beer and something told him to buy water instead. We know now that it was the Holy Ghost and that He was sending messengers to lead him back to Jesus.

Girl’s knee miraculously healed
This is one of the most amazing healings I have ever seen right before my eyes. Bro. Joel saw a young girl walking on crutches. He engaged and asked her what had happened. The girl had been in a car accident and the accident was so bad that it was on the news. The doctors had told her that her knee was not getting any better. Bro. Joel asked her if she wanted to be healed because he had good news for her. He said that the kingdom of heaven had come to her and that God was going to heal her. He had some of the young girls pray for her and Joel had her take the cast off. Bro. Joel had her bending her knee to activate her faith. Right before our very eyes we saw the swelling in her knee disappear. The Lord was giving this precious girl a creative miracle. The Lord is amazing and He gets all of the glory!

Harvest House team comes to Pensacola
It was awesome to have three men full of the Holy Ghost and Fire from Harvest House visit us in Pensacola. This is a ministry that my good friend Levi Lutz planted in Rusk, Texas. It’s a year bible based program where folks from all walks of life graduate on fire for Jesus. The students get to travel the country selling crosses at various Wal-Marts to raise money for the ministry. The Lord uses these folks to minister to many people in the parking lots of Wal-Mart and that’s what happened when they came.

The Lord touched many people that weekend in Pensacola. We had folks saved, healed and baptized in the Holy Ghost. Megan in the picture to the right rededicated her life to Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Ghost right next to the liquor store at the Wal-Mart on Pine Forest Road. Praise to the name of Jesus!

Upcoming Ministry
The Panera Bread Ministry has been amazing! The team switches churches every Tuesday and we continue to see folks healed, saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost. I have another team coming in from Harvest House this weekend and were expecting the Lord to do amazing things. My family will be traveling with me to Texas in July to be part of an evangelism outreach weekend for several churches in Greenville. My friend Craig and I will be traveling to help with another evangelism weekend at the end of August, as well. Also, I will be making plans to travel in and out of San Antonio where my friend Richard Davis is relocating. Richard and I will be making more trips into to Mexico via San Antonio. Last but not least, we are planning on doing a huge toy drive this year for our annual Christmas trip to help the precious children of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico have a Christmas. I’m totally excited about this and I believe were going to bring a large U-Haul cart of toys this year. Please believe with me!

My yoke is easy and My burden is light

Mark 8:34-36 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.  For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
My Yoke is easy and My burden is light

Recently I got the privilege to carry a cross down the streets of inner city Atlanta. This by far was the heaviest cross I have ever carried. As a matter of fact, I really couldn’t carry it very far at all. My back and shoulder’s started hurting immediately. I carried it a few blocks and had to give the cross back to my evangelist friend Joel Crumpton, who has a ministry in Atlanta.  Immediately the Lord reminded me of a vision He gave me. Around a year ago, I had the privilege of carrying a big red cross that was constructed by my friend Stacy Mitchell down the streets of the University of Alabama. This cross was heavy, as well. I came home to Pensacola and went to church. During the worship time, the Lord gave me a vision. I was kneeling at a cross and I heard the Lord tell me to pick it up. I immediately thought that the cross would be heavy like the cross that I had carried previously at the University of Alabama. I braced myself to pick it up and I was amazed. This cross wasn’t heavy at all. It was light as a feather and I couldn’t believe it. The Lord immediately spoke this scripture to me in Matt. 11:28-30  “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Fresh Revelation

Immediately I had received fresh revelation from the Lord concerning Mark 8:34-36. I had always thought that taking up my cross would be a hard grueling experience. The Lord showed me that it would be a hard grueling experience if I tried to walk and do everything in my own strength. The cross would be heavy and I wouldn’t be able to walk very far, but if I spent time in His presence and in His word the cross would be light as a feather. I now realize why Moses was praying for God’s glory and saying Lord unless you go before me and with me I can’t go. You see Moses had done things in his own strength before. He killed an Egyptian believing that it was God’s will and look how that turned out. Moses needed the Glory of God to fulfill his calling and purpose. He wasn’t taking no for an answer.
Are we living for ourselves or for Him?

I have two testimonies in my life. The Lord saved me and delivered me from drugs and alcohol in the mid 1990’s, but later in my Christian walk something changed. I had decided to leave the ministry because of the debts our family had accumulated. The enemy was using the cares of this life, the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things to choke out the word of God in my life.  I started seeking business, education and jobs in the place of the Lord. It became an idol in my life.  I thought that if I made enough money I could return to the ministry one day and it would be a lot easier. I was still in church, but I was dying inside because I wasn’t fulfilling God’s purpose for my life. I knew that I was doing everything in my own strength and God wasn’t in it. I was in ruin in the midst of the congregation. The cross that I was carrying was heavy and I had opened myself up for other sins, such as anger and lust. My wife knew how miserable I was and prayed me through. I praise the Lord for my wife because I don’t know where I would be without her. Her prayers were about to be answered because a major event was about to happen that would dramatically shift my life back to Jesus!
On March 9th, 2014 the Lord would call Evangelist Steve Hill home to be with Him in Heaven. I had heard Steve preach probably over a hundred times at the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola Florida. The Lord really impacted me through the revival and through Steve’s sermons. They still resonate with me today. When I heard about Steve’s passing, I immediately was convicted by the Holy Spirit. I got on my knees, repented and made a commitment to the Lord for my life. I heard Him ask me if I would be satisfied with Him in prayer and for me to go after souls in the streets. I told Him that I would and I have never been the same. I was instantly changed and delivered. Rudy Waters got on the cross and died that day. It was a life changing moment.

You see my friend I got on the cross that day, died to myself and He resurrected me with His strength and might!  One of my favorite quotes is from Leonard Ravenhill who said “are the things you’re living for worth Christ dying for.” You see a lot of us want to go to heaven and still want to live for ourselves. I would always hear Steve Hill preach that “folks just want a get out of jail free card” or in other words a get out of hell free card. We want to live for ourselves and still go to heaven too, but it doesn’t work that way.  Jesus needs to be Lord and Savior of our lives. In the scripture above the word says that if anyone who desires to come after Jesus must first deny himself and take up his cross and follow Him. Every sin is rooted in selfishness. Our selfishness is at the root of the problem and it must be cut down and burned. If we pull off the bad fruit from a tree and let the new fruit grow, we will still continue to produce rotten fruit. The root system must be dealt with!
Repentance is the key! On March 9th, 2014 I came to the end of myself and turned to Jesus. I was tired of living my life apart from his will and you can do it to my friend. Just get on your knees now and ask the Lord to forgive you for living a life of selfishness. Ask Him to forgive you of living a life of one foot in the world and one foot in Church! Ask Him to wash you in His blood and say not my will, but Yours be done Lord.  Come back to your first love my friend! Jesus is waiting with open arms for you to come and be with Him! Get on the cross and let Him resurrect you because His yoke is easy and His burden is light!

Nuevo Laredo, Mexico Trip April 6th-17th

Deportees at the Mexico Border

When we first arrived on Friday, Pastor Ray and I were able to bring toiletry items and pizza to the deportees who have been sent back across the border into Mexico. These precious people were waiting for the bus to take them home or to a shelter. We were able to share the love of Jesus with many of them and pray with them. The Lord loves every one of them. I was able to share Jer. 29:11 with them and I told them that the Lord has a plan for every one of them. I was able to pray for most of them and give them a hug before they boarded the bus.
Sharing with the precious women of the Colonia
On Sunday morning I was able to share with the precious women of the Colonia. I shared with them a message that God gave me about how He looks at a person’s heart and not the outer appearance. It was an amazing time! I will never forget about the precious women in the pink shirt in the picture to the right who was having heart trouble. We prayed for her and the Lord completely healed her. She was full of joy when I saw her later in the week. God is faithful! The women were excited to receive the shoes that Janice Sugar donated. God Bless You Janice! You are amazing!
Sharing at Elim and Lilly of the Valley Assembly of God
I had the amazing opportunity to share in both of these churches. On Sunday night & Tuesday night I shared at Elim and on Thursday night I shared at Lilley of the Valley.  I had to preach on different holiday topics. The topics were on Palm Sunday, the controversy and the last supper. To be honest, I complained to the Lord about it. I was used to praying and sharing messages that were on my heart, especially revival and salvation. The Lord was stretching me.  The Lord told me to honor the leaders and that He would give me a message for each topic. It was amazing! I spent time with the Lord every night before the meeting and he gave me what to share. The people were blessed by the Holy Spirit every night. The altars will filled with folks recommitting their lives to Jesus and receiving a fresh touch from Him. I was truly amazed! God is faithful!
Deportees in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
On Saturday, we did an outreach to the deportees in Nuevo Laredo. Most of these precious people were from Central American countries. The New Mexico team led Worship and the Lord touched many people that day. We had many people come forward to recommit their lives to Jesus.  I had the opportunity to pray for folks that were dealing with suicide, fear and trouble sleeping. I prayed for peace and for perfect love to cast out all fear. God is faithful!
Outreach in the Colonia
Last but not Least, we were able to do an outreach to the precious people of the Colonia. The New Mexico team led worship and Pastor Ray shared the gospel. We had many people come to the altar that day to receive a touch from the Lord. I could feel the compassion and presence of the Lord for these precious people. We were able to give out food bags and diapers. We also fed everyone a nice meal. My favorite part was being able to give out the rest of the shoes that my friend Bro. Craig Anderson donated. These shoes grow with the children’s feet. It was a huge blessing to see their faces light up with joy when they put on their shoes. Thank You Bro. Craig! You are awesome my friend!
Upcoming Ministry
I’m excited to be back in Pensacola for a little bit to rest and do some writing. The Panera Bread Ministry is booming and Bro. Warren told me that were going to be picking up our fourth church. Praise the Lord! Also, there are some teams coming in from Evangelist Levi Lutz’s ministry in Texas to minister at Wal-Marts and throughout Pensacola. This is exciting and I can’t wait to share some testimonies from this in future newsletters. I have an awesome opportunity to help with evangelism in cities throughout Texas with Evangelist Levi Lutz’s team. My missionary friend Richard Davis is moving to San Antonio to be closer to Mexico and I have an amazing opportunity to travel in and out of San Antonio going into Mexico more often. I have already been looking at plane prices. Praise the Lord! The Lord is up to something and we believe the Lord is going to raise up missionaries and send them all over the world from San Antonio. Also, I plan on continuing to stay connected to my friend Evangelist Joel Crumpton in Atlanta. My heart is to take teams a couple times a year up to Atlanta to do evangelism and help Bro. Joel with his homeless outreach on Tuesday nights. These are just a few things that we will be doing. There is so many opportunities coming up that I can’t even put everything in writing. I will be updating everyone in future newsletters. I have testimonies to share with you about what happened in Picayune, Miss, as well.  Exciting times and the Lord has been faithful with every step Go and Declare takes!
Thank You
…everyone for praying for me and for your generous financial support. I am absolutely living a dream!  I know if it wasn’t for your prayers and support for Go and Declare we wouldn’t have the impact that were having for Jesus!  My wife would always ask me years ago what made me happy and I would always tell her when I’m traveling. It’s now becoming a reality. When I was a kid, I entered an essay contest to win a globe. The globe was for 2nd prize. I wrote such a good essay that I won first prize the dictionary. I was disappointed because I was infatuated with looking at the world on the globe. Little did I know that the Lord was going to send me to the nations to proclaim His name one day? God Bless everyone for your faithfulness and love! We will all share in the rewards together! May the Lord richly bless you!
P.S. Check out our Facebook page and our blog page. I have a new blogpost ready to go up soon. If you haven’t read our recent blog called Don’t be like a Pharisee, Be like the Tax Collector I encourage you to check it out. There’s an awesome testimony in there from our trip to New Orleans.
Checks can be written to Go and Declare INC and mailed to 1117 Colbert Avenue Pensacola FL 32507. You can also click on the donate button and give at the websites below.

Don't be like the Pharisee, be like the Tax Collector

New Orleans Mardi Gras

Recently I had the opportunity to go on Bourbon Street in New Orleans with a team of on fire students from SUM School of Ministry and some awesome friends from Rusk Texas. This was one of the hardest mission’s trips I have ever taken in my life. I was overwhelmed with the pride of the people. The folks were flaunting every sin I could imagine. I couldn’t believe that they would even bring small children to be involved with their revelry.  I was used to doing evangelism where just about everyone would receive prayer, but these people didn’t want me anywhere near them. They wanted to sin and they didn’t want anyone like me anywhere near them. In my heart, I was totally grieved for these people. I suddenly realized that the Lord was taking me through a season of what some of the people we read about in scripture must have felt like. I thought about what Noah must have felt like when he preached for a 100 years and not one was saved. He reminded me about what Lot must have felt like in Sodom and Gomorrah and I was reminded about the revelry of the children of Israel when they built the Golden Calf in the book of Exodus. I was being broken by the Lord and he was birthing prayer and intercession in me. I was reminded about Paul saying he became like all men to all people that he might save some and that’s what we did throughout the two days we were there. We had the Lord lead us to people, so the Lord could snatch them out of destruction. God is faithful and He did!

Don’t be like a Pharisee

Luke 18:9-14 says "Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess."
There were a lot of things that grieved me throughout Mardi Gras, but what grieved me the most was when I heard my brothers and sisters in Christ preaching to the people saying that God hated them. I immediately stopped to pray for my brothers and sisters. The Lord showed me that he hated sin, but loved these precious people in revelry. I heard many times the words of Jesus say Father forgive them for they do not know what they do and the words of Stephen who said Father don’t hold this sin against them. Yes, if these folks were to die in their sin the Lord would say depart from me I never knew you, but today is the day of salvation and He doesn’t want anyone to perish. I prayed for our brothers and sisters to preach with compassion and tears. I thought about the words of Charles Spurgeon that said “He that is a winner of souls, must first be a weeper of souls.” May we not be like the Pharisee that says Father I’m glad I’m not like these sinners, but may we see with the Father’s eyes and let Him break us for these precious people. Yes, we may have a tough message, but let these people see the tears in our eyes and the compassion that we have for them! I remember Steve Hill, who I saw preach over hundreds of times. Steve would always have a message of repentance and holiness, but I knew he cared. He would always have tears in his eyes and I knew that he truly cared about the very souls of the people. Let’s let the Lord break us for the lost, so when we preach  they will know that we really care about them and the Love of God will bring them to repentance!

He thought God hated him

This is Jonathan. The Lord did something amazing in his life right there on Bourbon Street. Brother Levi had me pray for a couple homeless people and when I was done praying for them I turned around and saw Levi praying for Jonathan. It turned out that Jonathan told Levi not to look at him that way and grabbed him. Levi said enough is enough and started preaching the gospel to Jonathan holding on to him. Levi told him that he needed to get right with God and that the Lord loved him. I immediately came over to help Levi pray for him and Jonathan kept screaming out that God hated him and how the Lord didn’t love him. Levi continued to tell Jonathan that the Lord loved him and that he needed to give his life to Him. After fighting in prayer, Levi convinced Jonathan to pray a prayer of salvation in his own words. We then continued to pray for him to receive deliverance because Jonathan continued to say that the Lord didn’t love him and started to manifest demons. We immediately cast them out and Jonathan told us that we messed his life up. He said that he was married and that he needed to get back to his wife, but he continued coming back to give us a hug and kept telling us how we messed his life up. God is amazing and what a powerful testimony and I believe that Jonathan will never be the same!

Let’s be like the tax collector
Luke 18:13-14 says "And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
I believe there were a lot of Jonathan’s out there that night. They were used to people yelling at them about their sin and telling them that their going to hell, but it wasn’t done out of compassion and tears. It was done out of a self righteous indignation. May we remember that we used to be like them at one time and remember what the Lord has brought us out of? May we see the people the way God sees them and pray for the Lord to forgive them for they know not what they do. May we pray for the Lord to open their eyes and let them see Him! May we show these folks how much we care about them and how much the Lord wants them to come home.  Yes, we can preach repentance, holiness and truth, but let’s do it out of compassion, tears and love!

Misfits

Misfits

Part 1

Webster’s Dictionary’s definition for Misfit is a person who does not seem to belong in a particular group or situation.

Acts 4:13 says “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus”. Peter and John had been fishermen before they met Jesus. The Sanhedrin probably looked at them the same way the Pharisee’s looked at Jesus. They said isn’t this the son of a carpenter? Can anything good come out of Nazareth? They were the misfits of their time, but something happened. Jesus comes into their life and their whole world changed. Jesus would spend time with them teaching them and training them. They received the power of the Holy Spirit and prayed for a blind man that gets healed at the gate beautiful. Something was different about these misfits! They were changed from within their heart by the Holy Spirit and power! The Sanhedrin couldn’t refute that because here the man born blind stood there in front of them testifying of Gods goodness! A person with a testimony will always trump the person with an opinion.

I remember helping doing an outreach with some friends a few years ago in Mobile, Alabama. This was a drug rehabilitation center and a Bible School that helps people get free from addiction and eventually for ministry. I can’t remember the person’s name in the picture above, but one of the students at the outreach was wearing a shirt that caught my attention. I was totally drawn to what the shirt said and its meaning. Here was a bunch of people that society had given up on. I’m sure many of them were told that they would never live up to anything and that they were worthless. In this outreach, I was witnessing really a miracle from the Lord. Many of the folks came from all walks of life, but they had one goal to come to the program to be free from what kept them bound for so many years. Little did they know, The Lord was going to take what the Devil meant for evil and turn it around for good (Rom. 8:28). The word was misfits! These precious people who came from all walks of life were now cleaned up by the Lord by His blood and were being trained for the ministry. They were going into areas to help people get free from the same addictions that the Lord had brought them out of. What the world sees as trash, God sees as treasure!  Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart! (1 Sam. 16:7) These Misfits had been with Jesus and are now changing the World one person at a time for the glory of the Lord!
Misfits arise! Let’s go take back the ground the enemy has stolen! It’s time!

2017 is going to be an amazing year

2016 was an amazing year! I had the amazing opportunity to minister in Pensacola, Florida, Tuscaloosa & Eutaw, Alabama, Picayune Mississippi, Crocket, Rusk & Lindale, Texas in the United States and in Monterrey, Salinillas & Nuevo Laredo Mexico. I have seen the Lord touch many lives and I give Him all of the glory! 2017 is going to be amazing! The Panera Bread ministry in Pensacola with Bro. Warren Galvin and the team is expanding. I am already being contacted with ministry opportunities. I had an awesome opportunity to preach a couple weeks ago at Walls of Salvation in Pensacola and it was amazing! The Lord touched many people and the altar was full of folks crying out and believing for Revival.  I have a tremendous opportunity to preach in a tent crusade in one of my home towns Ocala FL. I look forward to helping my awesome friends in Tuscaloosa, AL. and Rusk Texas with Evangelism and places in Texas as the Lord opens the doors. I look forward to being up in Atlanta with Bro. Joel Crumpton and were planning an evangelism weekend in Picayune Miss. with our amazing friends at House of Refuge Church. Last but not least, I got to preach in an Assembly of God Church the last night in Nuevo Laredo with Pastor Ray. The service was amazing and the Lord touched many people. The Pastor heard that I was from Pensacola and asked me if I was from the Brownsville Revival. I told him that I was a graduate from the Bible School. He asked me to come back in April to preach a three day crusade. I am very excited and can’t wait!

Thank You

…for praying and for your generous financial support. You are truly amazing and we know if it weren’t for you there’s no way we could do these things the Lord has called us to do. Your generosity is overwhelming!

Blessings,
